The club would all to thanks all sixteen couples who took part, for all their hard work practicing and all the sponsorship they raised for the event. They were all winners! The show kicked off at 8pm with a group dance, a wonderful warm up for the main event, the couple dance. Each couple then took to the stage in turn to perform the dance they had been practicing for the last 6 weeks solid and the judges marked each performance out of 10 and the audience was then given their chance to vote.

The crowd was then entertained by another group dance before 11 couples were eliminated leaving just 5 in the running for the title. Each of the five couples performed their individual couple dance one more time before the judges had the final say on the places of first, second and third.

The club would like to thank Alicia Grills Grant and Rosie Watson for all their hard work training the dancers and putting the show together - it was all worth it in the end. They would also like to thank the host Com Corrigan, Mark Quinn for the lighting, sound and stage work, the judges Fiona Harold, Patricia Marm ion and Eric Lalor.

Thanks also go to Bernadette McCann for her fashion advice, Bernard O’Rourke and Collette Sheelan for the photography, Videographer Ben Corcoran, Graphic designer Michelle McMahon, Caretaker Peter Rice and the FAS and TUS workers for all the preparation and cleanup work. Finally Cooley Kickhams would like to thank everyone who bought a ticket and voted - thank you very much for your support.
