Motorists are being warned of ice and frosty patches as temperatures get set to plummet to -4°C tonight with forecasters advising drivers to take care.
Motorists are being urged to stay safe on the roads as temperatures are due to plummet below zero very rapidly later on this evening.
Temperatures in Louth are set to plummet to -4°C, resulting in a sharp to severe ground frost and ice on untreated surfaces.
Winds will be light and fog will form.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) will be rainy bringing with it milder temperatures of 5 °C and 6 °C .
Wednesday will see showers with temperatures of 4°C - 10°C.
There may be a few showers over the weekend and most areas will have sunny spells by day and frost at night.
