The troubled Ard Dealgan development will feature on a BBC programme that is to look at one time developer and former IRA member Tom McFeely.
A camera crew from BBC Northern Ireland were in Dundalk over the Christmas period to take a look at the site.
McFeely came under the media spotlight again last year when a large quantity of cash was found in the bathroom of a property owned by the developer.
Meanwhile it has yet to be confirmed whether or not Ard Dealgan has been sold by IBRC (who control assets formerly owned by Anglo).
A spokesperson for IBRC says: “IBRC cannot comment directly on the any particular loan that is being sold.
“The deadline was for the 31 December or whenever practicable .”
The spokeperson did however say that any loan that was not performing may well end up in NAMA.
The spokesperson also said the sales were well progressed.
Cllr Mark Dearey says: “I’ve been assured that buyers can n0t cherry pick assets in each basket and they have to be sold as groupings.
“I have asked the Town Council find out as soon as possible what the state of play is on the property.
The property is now abandoned and has been bricked up for security purposes.
