Stuart Agnew from Dundalk and Heritage Centre (whose members Liam Byrne and Conall McIntyre are from Dromiskin and Carlingford) have been short-listed in the biggest ever competition to find the hottest new acts in Ireland for Arthur’s Day ‘Play on the day’.

The shortlist has just been announced and now the public can vote for the bands to progress to the Regional Finals as they battle it out for the Grand Prize package in Play On The Day.

The Play On The Day competition formed an integral part of this year’s Guinness Arthur’s Day celebrations.

Guinness significantly expanded the Arthur’s Day celebrations this year to include live music events in local pubs across Ireland, with all the bands in the mix for the competition having played a gig on Arthur’s Day.

Fans can now listen to tracks from Stuart and Heritage Centre at www.playontheday.com and vote for their favourite.

Those voting will also be in with the chance of getting their hands on tickets to the live gigs.
