Oriel Live will take place on Saturday, August 24 and some great acts including singer songwriter Bressie and Natty Wailer from Bob Marley and the Wailers will headline a multi-act concert at Oriel Park, the home of Dundalk FC.
The 6’6 star of RTE’s The Voice is sure to draw in the crowds playing tracks from his new album ‘Rage And Romance’ as well as a few favourites.
Natty Wailer, who was in Dundalk for the launch last week is sure to turn a few heads as well as he is most famous for recording and touring with Bob Marley and the Wailers as a keyboard player for over nine years. Natty makes great music while spreading the importance of history and culture.
This is the first stadium gig of its kind in Dundalk and as well as having a name of the calibre of Bressie, it will also feature a lot of local talent. Acts for the gig include The Original Rude Boys, Shadow Play, Le Galaxie, Vann Music, Dirty Epics and the Flaws will all appear at the gig.
A main stage will be placed at the Carrick Road end, while the will be a long bar, food and a number of beer tents and a DJ tent. This will be the first concert of this kind since a musical jamboree was held back in the 1970s.
Tickets will cost €35 for a seated ticket and €30 for an all day ticket for the pitch. Family tickets cost €75. A percentage of the ticket sales will go towards homeless charity Focus Ireland. Tickets are available online and from Photospeed in the Longwalk.
