A Taste of Louth returns to Marshes Shopping Centre this weekend on Saturday, 9th and Sunday, 10th November.
The event will feature some the finest local produce from Louth along with free cookery demonstrations by local chefs throughout the weekend, who will be cooking local produce
A whole host of top class artisan producers from the North East will feature at the festival to ensure that you can get everything you need for the Christmas season- from local culinary delights to bespoke crafts and unique gifts ideal for family and friends.
Local artisan producers participating at the event include: Daisy’s Pantry, Kookee, Darling Buds, Ferdia Fine Foods, Chapel Cross Cakes, McCloskey;’s Bakery and many more.
The Cup Cake Competition for secondary school students will also take place with some great prizes to be won.
The results of the primary schools colouring competition will also be announced.
Proceeds raised on the day will go towards the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland and the Cross Border Orchestra Strings along with the Nitehawks will be providing music at the event.
Local chef Dermot Seberry is also launching his new book ‘Ireland, A Culinary Journey in the North East’ over the weekend which would make a great gift for loved ones this Christmas.
