The National Learning Network centres in Dundalk have been awarded an Excellence Through People award — Ireland’s national standard for human resource development.
The National Learning Network centres in the Ramparts and on Coes Road are two of the organisations 50 purpose-built training and employment centres across the country which train 13,000 people every year.
The centres in Dundalk have 68 places for people to partake in vocational and rehabilitative training. Among the courses on offer are the Access programme, Employer-based Training, Fresh Start and IT by Distance Learning.
The aim of the courses is to support people in progressing onto further education, training or employment.
