Disappointment turned to joy last week for the Twinklets group from Stabannon.
The four girls, Abbie Brady, Aoife Callaly, Amy Butterly and Eireann Titley, and their musical director, Shane Brady, represented Scoil San Nicolas, Stabannon, in the School Stars competition but were very disappointed when they failed to make the final.
In the eyes of many the girls were better than acts that made it through.
However with the voting system as it was it was difficult for a small school like Stabannon to make the breakthrough: Judges had 50 per cent of the votes and the audience 50 per cent.
But disappointment vanished when a phone call came to tell them that they had being sent through to the final on the Judges wild card. Now the Twinklets will represent Stabannon at the TLT Drogheda on 4 December and will be judged by none other than Louis Walsh. We wish the girls the very best of luck.
