The latest Ambassadors of ESB ecars’ Great Electric Drive trial, have just received the keys to their electric vehicles for a three month trial and they include Eavan Brady from Carlingford.

The ecar Ambassadors were chosen following a public invitation to take part in a national electric vehicle trial and were drawn from over 12,000 applications.

The Great Electric Drive offers 21 ambassadors, like Eavan, the opportunity to trial an EV for up to one year.

“ESB is currently rolling out a nationwide EV charging infrastructure and we are delighted with the very real benefits and cost savings associated with electric driving as demonstrated by the Ambassadors”, said ESB ecars Manager, Dermot McArdle.

ESB ecars Great Electric Drive trial aims to promote the use of electric vehicles among the general public, as well as highlight the availability of ESB’s network of EV Charge Points, currently standing at around 1,200 public, commercial and domestic charge points.
