Award winning, singer-songwriter priest visits Collon National School

The Parents Association are hosting Liam Lawton in concert on Tuesday 11th of December at 8pm in the Church of the Immaculate, Collon.

His music has been called spiritual, hauting, evocative, celtic and

liturgical.

Liam Lawton will perform his own music on the night and also along with Collon Parish Choir and also very importantly the children’s choir from Collon National School.

Already under the direction of Miss. Niamh Winters the choir along with Miss. Susan Baylon and Miss. Mairead Mooney are busy preparing for this very special concert.

Liam Lawton popped into the school last week where he received a very warm welcome by Principal, Anne-Marie Martin, along with members of staff, members of the Parents Association and also the school choir.

So keep that date in your diary for what is going to be a very special night in Collon Church.

Proceeds are going towards Collon National School.

Tickets will be going on sale soon at a price of 20euro.

It promises to be a spectacular night of musical entertainment which is sure to put everyone in the festive spirit.

Liam Lawton is an award winning singer-songwriter and Roman Catholic priest who in 2004, was signed by EMI for a number of albums.

Liam has performed in Chicago Symphony Center with narrator screen veteran Gregory Peck.

In the 10 years of the events existence Liam is the only composer that has been invited to return at least four times and has had guest artists such as John Cusack and John Malkovich narrate his work.

Over this time Liam has also toured Sweden and Norway achieving top ten status in the Norwegian Charts.

His concert in the Church of the Immaculate is definitely not one to be missed so pick up your tickets now.
