‘The Trilogy 2’, a white collar boxing event will take place on Saturday, December 8, in Ardee Parish Centre at 7.30pm.
All proceeds raised will go toward the Ardee Day Care Centre and The Irish Wheel Chair Association Ardee Sports Project.
The event was put together by Mark McCormack who has put an amazing amount of effort and dedication into arranging everything.
The first fight of the night kicks off at 8pm sharp and there will be a total of 24 competitors taking part.
A special fighter on the night is Trevor ‘The Hitman’ Halpenny, who wants to give something back to the community as the last ‘Trilogy’ raised nearly 15,000 euro for his son Jamie Halpenny, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
There will also be a raffle on the night and spot prizes will be given out.
Mark would like to thank Ardee Boxing Club for helping out with the training over the past few weeks.
“They have been brilliant and the boxers wouldn’t be where they are now without them.”
He would also like to thank Wee County Trophies for helping out and halving the price of the trophies for the winners on the night.
“I would also like to thank all the other sponsors which include Hugh O’Neils, PC Doctor, Frank Lynch, PC Repair Centre, Optire Ltd, Ralph’s Bistro, All Fire Briquettes Ltd, Michael Farrelly, Priority Print and anyone else who has given their support.”
Tickets to ‘The Trilogy’ cost 20 euro and can be purchased from any of the boxers or Event Manager Mark McCormack on 0868959843/0871194839.
