Three men have appeared before Dundalk District Court accused of two separate arson attacks in the town.

Three men have appeared before Dundalk District Court accused of two separate arson attacks in the town.

Darren Murden (23) of Fatima Park, Dundalk, Aidan Leonard (21) of Barton Park, Dundalk and David Mahony (23) of Garrybawn, Dundalk are each charged with damaging a car by fire at an address at Garrybawn, Tom Bellew Avenue on the 19th of January last.

They are further accused of damaging a bin and dwelling by fire at an address in Glenwood on the same date.

The court heard all three defendants made no reply when each charge was put to them. Inspector Martin Beggy told the court that the case will be dealt with by trial by indictment.

Judge Flann Brennan remanded each of them on their own bail of €1,000 to the 19th of December and extended time for service of a book of evidence.
