HEINEKEN Ireland will be hosting a national two-day sales conference in the Tain Theatre in Dundalk on February 24 and 25.
The conference will also run in conjunction with a series of promotional events in pubs throughout the town that weekend.
According Town Centre Commercial Manager Andrew Mawhinney it is hoped the weekend’s conference and events will bring in over €100,000 in revenue for the town.
Mac Sammon, Regional Sales manager of Heineken Ireland said. “We are delighted to bring the sales conference to Dundalk this year. Heineken have great trade relationships within the town. This is an opportunity for over 300 Heineken employees to experience the social aspect of Dundalk.”
It is the first time such a large national conference has been hosted outside of Ireland’s main cities and is sure to attract a lot of attention and interest.
The company will run a “Heineken Cruise” in twenty different pubs in town on February 24.
Brubakers manager Kevin McCarthy attended the press launch of the event at McGeoughs Bar on Roden Place and spoke to the Dundalk Democrat about what would be in store for his patrons. “Heineken will be setting up an “Ice cold igloo experience” in Brubakers and people can go in to the chilled out area and have an ice cold pint in a secluded room.”
Mr Mawhinney also added that “It is a great honour for the town to be holding such a large conference. Heineken is such a well-known brand globally. It will benefit the town immensely especially at this time of the year when business is slow.”
