TWO lucky people from Co Louth who won over e100,000 in a EuroMillions draw are planning a Mediterranean holiday.
The pair, who wish to remain anonymous, bought the lucky ticket in the Courtline Service Station, Drogheda Road, Clogherhead.
The e6 Quickpick selection ticket saw the two-some win e117,029 in the EuroMillions draw on Friday, March 4.
The winners who matched five numbers in the draw, collected their prize in National Lottery offices on Monday, March 4.
According to the National Lottery office, the Louth pair play EuroMillions every Friday, and are delighted with the win.
“We checked the ticket on Aertel on Saturday morning, as we normally do. We were delighted when we realised we had matched 5 numbers,” said one of the winners over a glass of champagne in the National Lottery offices on Monday.
“We thought we had won a few thousand. When we realised we had won e117,029 we were absolutely thrilled.”
The winners, who plan to continue to play EuroMillions in the future, are looking forward to taking a well deserved holiday in the Mediterranean this summer.
Since the National Lottery was launched, over e3.4 billion has been raised for good causes.
