Fr Paddy Rushe, who has been dubbed iPriest for using iPads during mass, is very disappointed with Apple’s new operating system iOS7.

The technological priest described the system as “bland” and “lifeless” in an interview with The Dundalk Democrat.

The DkIT chaplain even rated the system a poor 3 out of 10.

Fr Rushe said: “I am very disappointed. I hate the look. It’s bland and lifeless - far too much white and nothing ‘defined’.

“I like the improved functionality and the nifty transitions and movement but there’s so much missing - and don’t even start me on the colours. What weird and psychedelic mixtures there are. What are we? Austin Powers followers?

“I haven’t seen anything that really ‘grabs’ me. The control centre - maybe, but that’s hardly ingenious! I like the new pass code number pad, but again borrowed from android.

“Over 4 hours to download and install and it took several attempts. Why? Popularity yes, but good Lord, roll it out incrementally. I expected more, Apple!

“Overall - 3 out of 10.”
