The delicious Taste of Carlingford festival will take place this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 11 and 12.
The festival will offer an opportunity to sample local produce served in the destination that has become well known for its dining out.
Amidst the street music, you are invited to sample tastings from each restaurant as they emerge onto the streets to welcome you to taste their fare.
Locals are also being asked to present their home baked goodies to the public this year in the Taste of Carlingford Village Bake where those old traditional dishes and recipes will be on offer for everyone to enjoy.
The medieval village will be bursting with colourful displays and delicious aromas throughout the entire weekend, offering a street food market alongside live cookery demonstrations for adults and children.
Recent runner up of the National Chowder competition, Danny Fitzpatrick, will be one of the chefs appearing to demonstrate his special seafood recipe.
The contrast of the contemporary and traditional continue within the family orientated activities such as the children’s Crab Fishing competition, offering special prizes for the most crabs, ugliest crab and smallest crab.
There will also be facepainting, Kiddies Treasure Hunt, Stone Skimming and Build a Sand Castle competition.
Also on the Fun Menu is a free drumming workshop extending over the two days and the arrival of special guests in the Loughs Agency Sea Touch Tank.
Children are invited to meet and greet the live sea creatures and learn about the texture, smells and habits of our friends that swim in the Irish waters.
