TírNaTICA, an Irish cat club, are holding a two day TICA Cat Show and Craft Fair in the Fairways Hotel, on May 25 and 26.
The show is a unique opportunity for animal lovers from Louth and the North East to see many rare and exotic pedigree and non-pedigree cats on show for the first time ever in Dundalk.
The show takes place over Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26, in the Fairways Hotel, and is open to visitors each day from 10am to 4pm.
The theme is ‘Feline Fun in the Sun’ and exhibitors attending will be decorating their pens, themselves, and maybe even their cats, to compliment the fun theme that is typical of the relaxed attitude of TICA cat shows.
Visitors can get up close and personal with hairless cats, curly-coated cats, short-haired cats, long-haired cats, cats with curled ears, cats that look like mini leopards, and many more unusual breeds. Cat breeders and exhibitors from Ireland, the UK, and as far away as Norway will be on hand to talk about their chosen breed and can offer advice and experience to potential cat and kitten owners.
Take a seat in the judging ring and watch and listen to the international judges from France, the Netherlands, and the UK, as they judge the cats and talk about what they like and dislike about each.
Then feel the tension build in the show hall as each judge announces their top 10 cats, and their choice of Best Cat in Show!
The cat show also includes a craft fair, with over 20 craft stalls showcasing a wide range of local produce and crafts, many of which are tailoring their offerings for pets and animal lovers.
A number of pet food and supplies retailers are also attending.
Admission on the door is 4 euros for adults, 2 euros for children, and 10 euros for families.
Admission includes all day access to the cat show and craft fair.
