After having sensational acts such as BellX1, Mick Flannery, Damian Dempsy and Paddy Casey play in their newly renovated gig room over Christmas January looks set to be no different.

Kicking things off on Friday, January 4 is the Global Brigades Charity Benefit Night with Richard Richard, Mighty Tempest, 2minutes2midnight and Jack Taylor.

Global Brigade is a non-profit organization which works with students across the globe to create positive change in societies suffering from under-development, corruption and violence.

Next up on Saturday, January 5, is Whole Lotta Voltage who are a true AC/DC Tribute band that are as close to the look, sound and energy as the real thing.

On Friday, January 11, The Very Specials will play with Andiamo Scooter Club DJ.

Whether you jumped around to the sound of 2-Tone pioneers ‘The Specials’ in the Eighties, or are a recent convert via their amazing 30th anniversary Dublin Olympia gigs The Very Specials provide the perfect opportunity to relive the ultimate Specials experience.

Andy Irvine will take to the stage on Saturday, January 12.

The release of Andy Irvine’s first studio album in over ten years is no small news. Andy Irvine’s longstanding journey through music has been well documented, from his early skiffle days to O’Donoghue’s pub, set in 1960s Dublin, and his through his work with Sweeney’s Men, Planxty, Paul Brady and Patrick Street, not to mention countless other collaborations and four solo albums.

The Certain Three Tour with Trumpets Of Jerico, Nanu Nanu and Si Schroeder will arrive to the Store’s gig room on Thursday, January 24

Continuing on in the tradition of the last three years – where Irish-based booking agency Word of Mouth curates a triple bill of three very different acts and sends them out on tour – the 2013 tour will feature a diverse and compelling lineup, with an alternating running order for each show. Previous tours have featured Katie Kim, O Emperor, We Cut Corners, The Lost Brothers and Alessi’s Ark, amongst others.

The first of the Spirit Store’s series of innovative ‘In Conversation’ shows features Hamell On Trial on Friday, January 25. Finally on Saturday, January 26 Brendan & Declan Murphy will perform the highlights of their 20 year career, along with new material.
