ARDEE Town Council is planning another big fireworks night at Halloween and ghost stories at the Castle.
The town council will finalise the programme this week and this year they hope to bring on board the expertise of the local traders.
The storytelling for the younger folk will take place at Ardee Castle over the bank holiday weekend.
John Rafferty, chairman of the Ardee Historical Society, took charge of this last year and it was a great success.
St Mary’s GAA club has once again kindly offered to host the fireworks display.
Over the past two years, the town council have rganised a spectacular Halloween night when families and friends dressed in their scariest costumes.
Ardee Town Council have really made this a great night with wonderful support from the committee and club members of St Mary’s.
Once again there will be a spectacular fireworks on the night itself.
The evening is meant to give Halloween back to the people and that’s exactly what the organisers have achieved. So this year, it is hoped to have a similar night of fun.
There will be prizes for the spookiest people but this is a night when everybody will be a winner.
The gardai will be there to direct all the traffic and the Order of Malta will lend their expertise.
Ardee Town Councillors will be there to give a helping hand.
