THE arts service of Louth local authorities will host a youth theatre information day on Saturday 19 February in the Táin Theatre Town Hall Dundalk.

The day will be a networking and information event for groups and individuals involved in youth theatre, or interested in becoming involved in it.

The information day will look at available resources and examine how best youth theatre can be strengthened in the county.

The seminar will be facilitated by Alan King and Rhona Dunnett from The National Association for Youth Drama, and will include informal presentations from youth theatre leaders in Louth.

Youth theatres are very often devised by the participants themselves or reflect contemporary issues.

Among the topics the seminar will explore are National Association of Youth Drama support, affiliation, the youth theatre network in Ireland, child protection, setting up a youth theatre, artistic programming, and current youth theatre activities in Louth.
