DUNDALK Sub Aqua Club have applied to Dundalk Town Council for planning permission to retain a number of alterations they made to their new premises in Quay Street.

The club carried out a series of renovations to the Old Custom House building earlier this year. However, because the building is a protected structure, they required planning permission for the changes - something they did not seek until now.

Amongst the changes carried out by the Sub Aqua club were the removal of a front boundary wall, the widening of the entrance and the installation of a new wider gate at the premises, which is located just off the Inner Relief Road.

Dundalk Town Council will decide whether or not the club can keep the alterations in the coming weeks.
