Stadium to host Down Syndrome benefit

DUNDALK is one of ten locations taking part in the first ever multi-venue greyhound racing benefit night for Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI).

DUNDALK is one of ten locations taking part in the first ever multi-venue greyhound racing benefit night for Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI).

Hosted by the Irish Greyhound Board (IGB) in association with The Irish Examiner, benefit night is due to held in Dundalk Stadium on Saturday, February 26 from 6.30pm.

The family-friendly event will also take place Limerick, Cork, Tralee, Galway, Mullingar, Dublin, Newbridge, Thurles and Waterford.

The funds raised will be distributed to both the national fund and to regional DSI branches. Tickets include access to the races on the night plus a race programme.

There will be entertainment, goodie bags for children, raffles and auctions as well as the races. There will be a weekend break for two up for grabs at each venue, courtesy of Select Hotels Ireland.

Family tickets to the event will cost just e20 (two adults and up to four children) and individual tickets e10. Tickets are available online at www.igb.ie; www.downsyndrome.ie; or from the local branches.
