Ravensdale man sets Irish sheep shearing record

Ravensdale man Mark McGeown created an Irish sheep shearing Record at yesterday's Louth Agricultural Show when he sheared 514 ewes in 8 hours.

Yesterday's record-setting exploits were part of a fun-filled and well-attended show at Bellurgan Park.

All proceeds from the shearing competition were donated to cystic fibrosis Dundalk.
