The GSD school of drama opens its doors this summer and is gearing up for a busy summer of event.

Last week the school started their annual summer camp, with attending students having lots of fun working with puppets, making masks and creating fun unique stories.

The second summer camp “Express yourself” will run from July 25th-July 29th in creative spark places are available so parent can book through the school’s website.

As GSD caters for all ages the school has embarked on a new project, this July advanced acting students will start filming an original short drama the aim is to premiere the drama on YouTube this Autumn.

These activities are light in comparison to the schools very busy drama year. Students of all ages participated in Leinster school of drama exams, all students received first class honours with two students been awarded the top honour of distinction. “We have had a very busy year, the focus was to raise our standards at exam and production time. ‘A day in time’ received very positive reviews from a performance stand point and the schools exam results speak for themselves.” said Geraldine Kieran
