Dundalk Institute of Technology holds its annual Fís exhibition from 1st – 2nd of June.
As part of the exhibition, one group will introduce LGBTv, an interactive Q&A aiming to educate and inform the younger generation and the general public about the legal and social changes of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender society sometimes referred to as LGBTQ.
When a visitor enters the booth they are seated in front of a computer monitor with pictures of interviewees on screen.
They are then given a list of questions and will select an interviewee by speaking their name aloud and asking the selected questions.
This triggers a video response and makes it feel like a one-on-one conversation.
“The aim of our project is to educate and inform the younger generation and the general public and at the same time create a greater awareness and understanding of the LGBTQ community,” said Ashley Prendergast, Project Manager of LGBTv.
The projects will be showcased in the Carroll’s building at DkIT from 1st to 2nd of June.
