Dundalk Stadium scoops top award

Dundalk Stadium was among the winners at the 2016 Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards which were held in the Dunraven Arms Hotel in Adare, county Limerick on Tuesday, 19 April.

The Dundalk track received the Racecourse Award which was decided by ballot of the Irish Stable Staff. This award is for the Irish racecourse which provides the best quality facilities for stable employees. RTÉ’s Dáithí Ó Sé, who is a long-time racing fan and regular visitor to Irish racetracks, presented Jim Martin, CEO of Dundalk Stadium with a specially-commissioned trophy and €2,500 to be spent on the upgrading of facilities which will benefit stable employees. Jonathan Mullin, Irish Editor of the Racing Post, acted as MC for the occasion.
