Grandparents’ Day celebrated at St Peter’s
AS part of their programme of events for Catholic Schools’ Week, 6th class at St Peter’s national school Dromiskin and their teacher Liz Keane O’Hagan, hosted a Grandparents’ Day in their classroom.
This was a day for sharing memories and looking at memorabilia. Most of all it was a celebration of the wonderful bond that exists between children and their precious grandparents. Among those who attended were the Tommy Bloomfield with grandmother Phil Killeen. Nuala Brennan with daughter Ava and grandparents Val Brennan and Christina Meegan Lauren Byrne was there with her grandparents Marie and Jim Conlon. Lauren has a tapestry made by her mother Suzanne and presented it to Marie on Mother’s Day a number of years ago. Emma Crawley was there with her mum Elaine Crawley and grandmother Áine Hamill. Also Jessica Doherty and grandmother Róisín Lennon, and Anu McCarron and classmate Rachel Lowry with grandparent Barbara McCarron.
