Dundalk Ladies brave the appalling weather conditions

Dundalk Ladies played an 18 hole stableford competition on Saturday July 7 and Tuesday July 10. The weather conditions were appalling with most ladies playing in torrential rain.

Dundalk Ladies played an 18 hole stableford competition on Saturday July 7 and Tuesday July 10. The weather conditions were appalling with most ladies playing in torrential rain.

As a result the scoring was very low. Class A was won by Criona O’Reilly (12) 33pts; 2nd: Olivia Cunningham (13) 31pts (on back nine from Una Delaney).

Class B winner was Mary A McDonnell (22) 34pts; 2nd: Wendy Williamson (22) 33pts; 3rd: Diane Arthur (23) 32pts. Class C winner: Ann O’Callaghan (35) 35pts; 2nd: Leone Baillie (29) 31pts; 3rd: Gemma Dwyer (32) 31pts.

Juvenile winner was Karen Hopper (20) 33pts. Twos were recorded on the 5th by Una Delaney Olive Jones and Lady Captain Niamh Maguire.

The presentation was made to the winners of the PGA Tankard. Nora Byrne was the overall winner with 38pts. Michael McCummiskey - Secretary of PGA Ireland presented the beautiful Newbridge Jewelry prizes.
