Ardee Golf Club hosted the second Theresa Morgan Perpetual Trophy on Saturday July 14.
Theresa Morgan, an Honorary Life Member of the Club, has served as the Ladies’ Secretary, Captain and President. She is a strong advocate of Junior Golf in Ardee and sees the importance of encouraging boys and girls to play and participate.
The day was very successful as 54 adult and junior pairings contested the 10 Hole Mixed Foursomes competition. The competition was organised by Claire Gillespie, the Girls’ Junior Convenor.
At the presentation, Theresa praised the work of the Junior Committee and presented the trophy to the eventual winners, Captain Martin Commins and Girls’ Junior Captain, Ciara Molloy.
Results as follows - 1st: Martin Commins (8) and Ciara Molloy (24) 34; 2nd: John Carroll (7) and Seaghna Campbell (36) 36.25; 3rd: Kevin Commins (3) and Katie Commins (36) 37.25.
