Mizu sponsor Open Four Lady team event at Dundalk Ladies

DUNDALK Ladies hosted an Open Four Lady team event on Saturday May 11 and Tuesday May 14.

This competition was kindly sponsored by Mizu and well supported by neighbouring clubs Ardee, Greenore, Killinbeg, Lucan, Skerries, Warrenpoint and Nuremore. Lady Captain Brid Rocks welcomed Linda Stewart and Deirdre McGowan from Mizu and thanked them for their continued support of the Dundalk Ladies.

Before making the presentation, Linda gave very sound advice to the ladies about looking after their skin while out on the course. She cautioned us all to use factor 50 on face and hands while playing golf to avoid ageing of the skin. Linda and Deirdre were also on hand to advise the ladies on hair and skin products and care.

The winning team were Orla O’Grady, Siobhan Rogers, Rita Kelly and Joan McKenna (all Dundalk) with 87pts. 2nd were Lady vice-captain Anne Doohan, Jacinta Foran, Judy McDonough and Violet McGeady (all Dundalk) 82pts. In 3rd place were Angela Kilboy, Joan Corrigan and Ger Hoare from Dundalk along with Catherine McCormack from Warrenpoint on 81pts.

Wednesday’s Open Singles Stableford on May 15 was won by Jean Connolly (20) 32pts.
