Dundalk Golf Club’s Lady President Mary Crummie was on hand last Tuesday to wish all the ladies the best of luck playing for her prize.
Congratulations to Deirdre Smith who has been selected to play on the Irish team in the Women’s Home International. This will take place at Cork Golf Club from September 4-6. Deirdre will also play in the British Open in August. We wish her every success.

The morning ladies got the best of the weather, however the afternoon’s rain didn’t deter the overall winner Elizabeth McGuinness (16) who shot a very impressive 72 nett, reducing her handicap to 15.
In 2nd place was Rosemary Gardiner (20) 75 nett. Best gross went to Deirdre Smith (+1) 76 gross. Class A winner was Una Delaney (18) 75 nett and runner up was Una Kelly (17) 76 nett. Class B winner was Angela Connolly (22) 77. Runner up Angela McGuire (26) 78 on back nine from 3rd placed Siobhan Wynne (27) 78 nett.
Class C winner was Angela Kilboy (32) 81 nett on back nine from Leone Baillie (29) 81 nett and 3rd was Rita Moriarty (29) 82 nett. Eileen Campbell won the senior ladies prize while Susan O’Keeffe (36) had 16pts to win the juvenile prize.
Gerry Daly (13) won the men’s nine hole competition with 21pts and Ronan Maguire (22) was runner up with 20pts. Twos were recorded by Ann Hopper and Gillian Murphy on the 5th, Una Delaney and Louise Lynn on 13th and Michele Quinn on 17th.
Lady President Mary congratulated all the winners and thanked everyone for their good wishes and support.
