But they had to withstand a final quarter comeback from Glen Emmets who scored 1 - 7 without reply only to come up short by three points.

It was a really great game and very entertaining for the supporters.

Na Piarsaigh got the first score a point from Mark O’Hagen after two minutes followed three minutes later by a point by Glen Emmets.

On eight minutes Kyle Rogan got the first goal for na Pairsaigh and when Mark O’Hagan got a second goal Na Piarsaigh were in the driving seat.

Kyle Rogan got a further point followed by a point by Cormac McCartney.

Glen Emmets finally got into the game and when they got a goal and a point they played with more confidence.

Coming up to half time Na Piarsaigh’s Robert Murphy got a point for leaving the score Na Piarsaigh 2-4 to Glen Emmets 1-2.

Na Piarsaigh also made the better start to the second half with Kyle Rogan scoring 1-1, Mark O’Hagen getting a point, Dillon Quigley getting a goal to leave it 4-6 to 1-2.

It was then that Glen Emmets started their brilliant fight back with a goal and seven point s.

It left a very nervy few minutes for the winners who held on for a three points win.

Best for na piarsaigh were David Egan at full back, Kyle Rogan, Connell Myles and Fergal Mullholand.

It was hard to fault any player both teams giving it their all.
