Local businesses prepare for charity football matches

TWO charity football matches will take place in the next couple of weeks involving local stores who are anxious to raise money for charity.

This Saturday July 30, HMV Dundalk are hostin a charity game in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation in Oriel Park.

HMV’s staff and friends will be taking on the Marshes Shopping Centre staff in the game, which has a 7.30pm kick-off.

Tickets ffor the game are just e2 and are on sale from HMV Dundalk in the Marshes Shopping Centre.

Then the following week Dunnes Stores branches throughout Dundalk are holding a charity football match in Dundalk Sports Centre.

The game takes place on Monday August 8 at 8pm with all proceeds raised from the fun game going towards St Francis Hospice.

On the night Dunnes Stores in the Marshes Shopping Centre and in Ard Easmuinn will take on the Dunnes team from Muirhevnamor.

Managers and staff members from all three stores will be taking part to raise money for St Francis Hospice, a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients with advanced cancer and Motor Neurone Disease.
