Renowned business man and whiskey mogul John Teeling was guest of honour at the North Louth Artists exhibition in the County Musuem on Thursday.
Mr Teeling took the opportunity to give those in attendance a sneak peek, and taste, of hiis brand new range of ‘Dundalk Whiskey’, brewed at the old Great Northern Brewery which he purchased last year.
The evening was held in aid of Dundalk Dog Rescue and featured a number of Louth artists whose brief was the “Spirit of Louth’.
Mr Teeling had the crowd in raptures , making several gags about artists. The evening saw two superb pictures of dogs, by Gerry Clarke and Derek Bell, auctioned in aid of DDR. They fetched a total of €410, which represented great value for money for the buyers, one of which was Mr Teeling. The exhibition runs until 24 May, and is a must for local art fans.
