Chamber hosts successful business event

Dundalk Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a very successful Business After Hours in association with Fastcom, one of Ireland’s fastest growing Internet Service Providers. Fastcom have grown into a strong and respected Internet Service Provider (ISP) and are continually evolving their services to enable businesses to benefit from high capacity fibre optic bandwidth and infrastructure services.

The event entitled outlined the key objectives of Cloud Computing and how your business can benefit, Next Generation Fibre Optic Broadband Networks and the value it can bring to your business.

The presentations involved a multiagency group including Fastcom and e|net, led by Dundalk Chamber in association with Dundalk Enterprise Europe Network.

Fastcom CTO, Conor Toomey spoke about why you should connect your business to The Cloud and gave a case study of a local company that is using dedicated fibre optic broadband & Cloud services.

This was followed by e-net’s CEO, Conal Henry speaking about the Metropolitan Area Network in Co. Louth and dispelling certain myths that the MANs throughout the country are underutilised.

Conal’s presentation highlighted the many customers using the MANs and the many applications they are using it for.

This was followed by a lively questions & answers session.
