eircom has confirmed that it will roll out its fibre network to a further five locations in county Louth. The latest announcement includes Ardee, Blackrock, Castletown, Donore Road and Racecourse Road which sees a total of seven locations in county Louth included in the fibre roll out plan. Last month Dundalk was included in Phase IV of the roll out while Drogheda was announced in Phase II.
Herb Hribar, CEO eircom Group, said “We remain fully committed to our investment strategy in high speed broadband and constructing Ireland’s largest fibre network is a key part of our business plan. The new fibre network will provide broadband speeds of up to 70Mb to our customers by next summer. We have included five new locations in county Louth and we are committed to ensuring our customers across the country will be able to avail of high speed broadband”.
