Crumb Rubber, the recycling company at Dromiskin, is doubling its workforce with the creation of 25 new jobs.

The new jobs are part of an inward investment plan that will see €4.5 million invested in the firm, which recycles scrap tyres and turns them into eco- friendly rubber products. The investment includes a new high tech recycling plant which will increase production by 75 per cent.

The company was founded by Leo Kerley, Sales Director, and Padraig Hand, Operations Director, in 2002.

“This investment, with 25 new jobs will enable Crumb Rubber to compete internationally,” Mr Kerley said.

“We are an Enterprise Ireland client and thanks to their support, have opened up export markets. With increased production we can make greater strides in these markets and look to open other sales channels abroad. Increasing production will also make our current production more sustainable with greater economies of scale.”
