Dundalk to host free tech and management SME seminars

The first seminar is entitled “Web based Business Applications” and is due take place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dundalk on Monday, March 7 from 4.15pm to 6pm.

The event will feature two speakers; the first is Paul McEvoy, from Baker Security & Networks and he will give an introduction on Cloud Computing.

McEvoy will visit this evolving landscape’s impact for SME businesses and will outline some cost/benefits of emerging cloud-based applications including Google accounting apps for Business & Yendo financial accounting.

McEvoy’s talk will be followed by Damian McCann and Kevin Hickey from Digiweb who will speak about “Data Centre Hosting Opportunities for SME’s”.

In this seminar they will bring participants up to speed with a range of hosting possibilities that every SME in Ireland should know about.

They will talk about faster, better, innovative solutions including Domain name protection, shared hosting, virtual servers, dedicated server, data centre rack space and Cloud services.

The second seminar is due to take place on Tuesday, March 8 in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk at 4.15pm.

It is entitled “Management Practices Matter” and the first speaker is Conor Casey from Bureauscope Ltd.
