UNEMPLOYED people in Louth are being offered the chance to take part in the Financial Services Ireland (FSI) CareerStart Programme.
FSI, the IBEC group that represents the financial services industry, is running a unique training and work placement initiative designed to help unemployed people to enter the international financial services sector.
The programme is based in Dublin making it accessible to anyone without a job in Louth.
The programme is open to experienced professionals or graduates who are currently out of work, as long as they have been on unemployment benefit, or its equivalent, for at least six months. The programme is flexible and will allow participants to keep their social welfare benefits.
Each participant will take part in one of three learning paths which will include either a work placement or mentoring from an IFSC company, one of three accredited courses in International Finance or Investment Funds through the Institute of Bankers School of Professional Finance covering topics such as finance and leadership.
This will give participants an internationally recognised qualification accredited by UCD. They will also receive a comprehensive Certificate in Management from the IBEC Management Academy.
The closing date for applications is August 12. For more information visit www.fsicareerstart.ie.
