It’s Easter, summer
time, and
Mint Sauce

Ardee Educate Together National School principal, Ms Ann Middleton and pupils and future pupils came together to give us all a timely reminder to put your clock forward on Saturday night as summertime begins and also "Mint Sauce" the pet lamb came along to remind us that next Sunday is Easter Sunday. Pictured are Ms Ann Middleton holding "Mint Sauce" the pet lamb" as parents Paul and Ciara Boyle, Charlestown, Ardee with their children Sean, at left who is in second class, Rory, who is in senior infants, points to Mr Wolf's clock which has to go forward one hour on Saturday night, two year old Orlaith who will be a pupil in two year's time and five months old Liam who is also enrolled for 2017. Dad Paul made the new Mr Wolf clock for the school and grandfather John O'Reilly painted the clock and grandmother Margaret O'Reilly made the Little Bo Peep dress hat for Orlaith from an old evening gown. Ardee Educate Together National School principal, Ms Ann Middleton, and pupils and future pupils, came together this week to give us all a timely reminder to put your clock forward on Saturday night as summertime begins.

And pet lamb Mint Sauce also came along to remind us that next Sunday is of course Easter Sunday.

Our picture shows Ann Middleton holding Mint Sauce.

Also in our photo are parents Paul and Ciara Boyle from Charlestown Ardee.

Their children Sean, left, who is in second class, and Rory, who is in senior infants.

That’s Rory pointing to Mr Wolf’s clock which has to go forward one hour on Saturday night.

Two-year-old Orlaith, who will be heading off for the school in two year’s time, is wearing a Little Bo Peep dress and hat made by her grandmother Margaret O’Reilly, from an old evening gown.

And mum Ciara is holding five months old Liam who will join the rest of the clan at the school in 2017.

Dad Paul made the Mr Wolf clock for the school and grandfather John O’Reilly painted it.

So smile and be happy.

The cold spell is almost over.

It’s Easter, and it’s springtime.

And now it’s summertime too.
