Two-time Olympic Gold medallist Kip Keino of Kenya will be a guest speaker at a conference in DkIT next Monday May 28.
Kip Keino will be visiting DKIT as a guest of sports education provider, GIPL (Global Institute of Physical Literacy), specialists in Leadership training for Sports Educators around the Globe.
The Olympic champ is passionate about global education through sport.
The Global Institute of Physical Literacy, is based within the Regional Development Centre in DKIT.
It was founded by physiotherapist, Rowan Windvogel, born in South Africa, where he experienced first hand the power of sport to educate, liberate and unite a nation.
The GIPL shares the same ethos as Kip Keino and delivers training to sports leaders and educators who want to turn their good intentions into tangible, positive change.
Previous clients have included the FAI. Rowan has also presented at major conferences including the UEFA “Challenges in Football” conference held in Denmark, last year.
Our team includes a sports psychologist, occupational therapist, PE teacher, Chartered physiotherapist , and a Maths lecturer.
The conference begins at 10.15 am and will take place in the lecture hall in the Health and Nursing building in DkIT.
