Dundalk Music Society to hold auditions for new show ‘The Sound of Music’

Dundalk Musical society is preparing to get back in the habit, fresh from the success of it’s latest show ‘Broadway and Beyond’

The society has begun working on its next production - ‘The Sound of Music’ and is currently searching for Dundalk’s answer to the Von Trapp family.

Auditions are due to take place on Sunday, May 20 in Dundalk Tennis Club. Boys aged ten to 16 years old, and girls aged five to 16 years old are invited to audition for the children’s roles at 1.30pm.

The children will be taught a song from the show, along with a dance routine and asked to read a piece of dialogue from the script.

Adult auditions for those aged 16 and upwards will take place at 5.30pm on the same day. Adults will be expected to have prepared a song from the show and to read from the script.

The show will take place from October 16-21 in Dundalk Town Hall.
