Top celebs for Santa Run record attempt
Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, as part of the organizing body of the Dundalk Christmas Charity Fun Run/ Lunch are planning to break the Guinness World Record for the most Santa’s running a mile this November.

Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, as part of the organizing body of the Dundalk Christmas Charity Fun Run/ Lunch are planning to break the Guinness World Record for the most Santa’s running a mile this November.

This event is formally launched on Wednesday 11th of September on Market Square, Dundalk at 6.00pm. The Launch event will include a number of local sporting stars including Paddy Keenan, Dundalk FC Management and players and most notably local rugby heroes David and Rob Kearney who are giving their support to this fantastic event.

The target is 4,000 Santa’s with the Santa Fun Run taking place on Friday 29th November 2013 at 6.30pm as opening event of the towns Festival of Light and Culture. The run route, measuring 1 mile in distance, will be published shortly.

This event will help a number of local charities namely SOSAD, Louth Men’s Shed, North Louth Hospice, SNAP and Lordship Children’s Respite Centre. In addition to these main charities other local groups, clubs and organisations will also benefit from this historical run.

Come along to the launch on Wednesday the 11th September at 6pm on Market Square Dundalk and bring your family and friends to meet these fantastic sporting stars and while you are there why not sign up for the run!
