Dreams come true for Fugitive fan

It was a dream come true for a local girl last week as she got a birthday hug and kiss from her favourite rapper.

Cherise McCaughley, from Dundalk, was celebrating her 18th birthday in Mullingar recently when she bumped into Fugative, a chart topping rapper who has had many hits in Ireland and the UK.

“I was in Mullingar for the day with my friends, we were going to his concert that evening but we went shopping during the day,” Cherise told the Dundalk Democrat.

“I happened to turn around and next of all I see Fugative walking down the street. I stopped him to ask for a photograh,”the Irish ladies international ice hockey player added.

But what happened next was a shock to the system for the birthday girl.

“I mentioned that it was my birthday and that I was going to his gig that night. He gave me a birthday hug and a kiss on the cheek when I said that, he was so nice,” a chuffed Cherise said.

“He chatted for a while saying that he took a year out to work on new material but that he is ready to come back with a bang. His concert was very good and I have a sore throat because I was screaming so much at it, it was like a dream come true meeting him,”the teenager added.

Fugative has worked with rapper Basshunter and singer Ed Sheeran and is set to release his new single ‘Sun Don’t Shine’ this month.
