Free famiy concert
The second in Music Generation Louth’s Family Concert series takes place on Saturday, 20
April at 3pm in St. Peter’s Church of Ireland, Drogheda with the Irish Youth Chamber Choir
directed by Greg Beardsell. The Irish Youth Chamber Choir is made up of Ireland’s most
talented young singers. This very special afternoon event for children and their families is a
must for anyone interested in music and singing. The programme has been specially designed
for young audiences and families and promises lots of beautiful music, gorgeous singing and
the chance for some audience participation. For anyone who wishes to hear more, the Choir
will also be performing their current touring programme entitled ‘Soundworlds’ at 7.30pm in
St. Peter’s, Drogheda. (Further details are available from www.aoic.ie).
Admission to the concert is free although places are limited so it is advisable to contact

Music Generation Louth’s Family Concert Series is supported by the Small Festivals and
Events Scheme of the Arts Council. Music Generation Louth is a music service for the
county that aims to help children and young people up to eighteen years access vocal and
instrumental tuition in their local area. It is led by Co. Louth VEC and is part of Music
Generation, a national programme for music education initiated by Music Network with seed
funding from U2 and the Ireland Funds. Create Louth and Co. Louth VEC provide local
partnership income.
