Pajo the Calf, Ireland’s favourite bovine celebrity, has predicted a Dublin victory in this weekend’s All Ireland semi-final versus Kerry.
The prediction came at an appearance at Boylesport’s headquarters in Dundalk, where brave Pajo clearly favoured a Dublin victory.
“He picked the teams I would have gone for,” says Alan Sheridan, Pajo’s 21-year-old manager. “I think he will be watching the match too.”
Everyone present agreed that Pajo did a fine job picking the winner, though Pajo himself seemed more concerned with helping to keep Boyle Sport’s grass in order.
“He loves the grass here. It gets cut often so it would be sweeter,” suggested Alan.
Pajo was initially wearing a pair of Monaghan shorts at the photo shoot, but to decided to cast them aside. It turned out to be a good call as moments later Pajo let himself down by defecating on the grass outside Boyle Sports.
