NINE local artists from Bridge Street Studios in Dundalk are exhibiting their work in the Blackbird Gallery Kilkenny for the month of January.
The exhibition was officially opened on December 30 last to a gathering of artists, art enthusiasts and collectors from the Louth and Kilkenny areas as well as some London based collectors.
The exhibition, which marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Bridge Street Studios, showcases the work of painters John O’Connor, Orla Barry, Michele Haechler, Mary Martin, textile artists Rachel Tinniswood and Fiona Quigley, ceramic artists Sarah McKenna and Mary Cowan, and jeweller Fiona Thornton.
The Blackbird Gallery, which is situated in the heart of Kilkenny at 18 William Street, has become a major addition to the art scene in the South East. Opening hours are Thursday to Saturday 11am - 5.30pm.
