‘The Sound of Music rehearsals’ will take place in Dundalk Tennis Club. The Society is calling on females aged 16 and over to be part of the nuns’ chorus.

Rehearsals will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays for the month of June with a break for the Summer. Rehearsals will resume at the end of August and the show will take place from October 16-21 in An Tain Theatre.

The Society operates an ‘open door’ policy so no experience is necessary. A love of singing and musical theatre is all that is required.

Dundalk Musical Society is currently celebrating following Dundalk solicitor Tim Ahern’s nomination as Best Actor at the Association of Irish Musical Societies Awards.

Tim was nominated for his role as Fagin in last October’s successful production of Oliver. The awards will take place on Saturday, June 16 in the INEC in Killarney and a delegation from the Society will attend the ceremony to support Tim.
