Great night had by all at St. Pat’s dinner dance in Cooley

A great night was had by all at the recent St. Patricks GFC Dinner Dance. There was a great turnout at this special annual event and players were honoured for the achievements throughout the year including Paddy Keenan who was chosen as player of the year. A spokesperson for the club said,

A great night was had by all at the recent St. Patricks GFC Dinner Dance. There was a great turnout at this special annual event and players were honoured for the achievements throughout the year including Paddy Keenan who was chosen as player of the year. A spokesperson for the club said,

“To Paddy Keenan on getting the senior player of the year, what can we say Paddy.. well done, if you walk past Paddy’s house in Lordship you will see a planning permission notice, where Pat & Dympna have applied for an extension to their house, for no other reason but to store all Paddy’s trophies’.

“To all the underage boys U 14 and U 16’s who received their medals and trophies, well done boys you have made us proud.. !!.You are all a credit to your families. To our U21 boys what a proud bunch of fine young men’.

“To our senior team congratulations boys, well done, and yes back out training the next morning, no hangover there, they mean business’.

“The food and the service was great, Thanks to Mellissa Cumiskey. To the Crawley family a real traditional Irish group, the Pats Club thank you most sincerely. “We would also like to take our bar people, Willie Traynor once a Clan now a Pats man, thank you Willie. Liam Mac Mahon, Liam you are a gent, many thanks. Theresa Woods a bundle of energy, Theresa you’re a dear, many thanks. Joe and Mary Callan, how lucky the pats are to have this couple move in just across the road from the Club rooms. Thank you Joe and Mary and their wonderful girls. To our entire bar staff.... we the Pats club really appreciate your help”.

“To our MC John Grogan now know locally as Terry Grogan, and of course our own Club man and county board Chairman Padraic O Connor who presented all the medals, and with the price of silver we needed extra security on board for this occasion. We thank all our invited guests; we hope you enjoyed your night. To all who helped on Saturday the Club thanks you most sincerely”.
