Jane Kelly, Creative Director/Joint MD Big Mountain and Executive Producer for the series said: “Tuesday’s grande finale was filmed and set exclusively in Drogheda’s Highlanes Gallery with international designers Paul Costello and Louise Kennedy joining the resident judges to decide who will be crowned Craft Master for 2011.
“It’s great to see fantastic facilities like the Highlanes gallery which allowed us stage the finale in Louth. The gallery and Louth Craftmark were very supportive in helping us stage and hold the event there.”
Jane added: “It’s great to see this original Irish format has been a ratings winner with audiences. Craftmaster has captured peoples’ attention with over 350,000 viewers watching each week.
“There is something great in tapping into our craft and heritage traditions here in Ireland to unearth the new craft people of the future. Their new designs could be the next international sellers at a time in our country when we need to be putting our best foot forward.”
